    A sample of family sociologists is analyzed to uncover the theoretical frameworks used in their training, teaching, research and counseling. Information on the ranking of theorists in the area of the family is reported. It was found that multiple theoretical frameworks were the dominant choice of the respondents and that the rankings of theoretical frameworks were highly correlated among the four areas analyzed.
