    Juri Auderset, Peter Moser•ARTICLE•Agricultural History•2022•References: 32

This article explores how Swiss agronomists and farmers experienced, perceived, and interpreted the modernization of North American agriculture from the late nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries by examining a series of travel reports, correspondence, diaries, photographs, and film material that they produced about their study trips to the United States and Canada. These sources are an interesting point of departure for transnational perspec…

  • A-disciplinary considerations of two networks of local climate energy initiatives

Pia Mamut, Peter Moser et al.•ARTICLE•Local Environment•2018

In France and Germany, significant networks of local initiatives have developed around energy issues. This article brings practitioners’ viewpoints into discussion. It presents the way in which two of these networks – the CLER-network for the energy transition (France) and the 100% – Regions network (Germany) – each identifies itself, describes its action and build-up process in relation to government action, and conceives of justice issues in th…

  • The Co‐operation Procedure in the EU

Open Access•Claudia Hubschmid, Peter Moser•ARTICLE•JCMS Journal of Common Market…•1997•Cited by: 15

The conditional influence of the European Parliament (EP) in the co‐operation procedure is a recognized empirical phenomenon in the literature. One explanation for such conditional influence is that the Parliament can successfully propose amendments only when the restriction which it faces changes during the decision‐making process. We explore this argument and find that it is able to explain the influence of the EP in the decision on car emissio…

  • The European Parliament as a Conditional Agenda Setter

    Open Access•Peter Moser•ARTICLE•American Political Science Review•1996•Cited by: 78•References: 3

Tsebelis (1994) argues in the American Political Science Review that the European Parliament has important power due to its right as a conditional agenda setter. I claim that Tsebelis' argument is based either on an incomplete analysis or on inaccurately specified decision rules. An accurate modeling of the cooperation procedure as stated in Article 189c of the Treaty of the European Community and as applied in practice changes the results consid…

  • Expectations of users of conference interpretation

    Peter Moser•ARTICLE•Interpreting International…•1996•Cited by: 17

In the present study the quality of interpretation services is measured against the judgements, needs and expectations of users of that service. Using the methods of empirical social sciences research, it brings together the evaluations produced by a wide range of users and attempts to interpret their significance. User responses were obtained in the context in which the respondents were making use of the interpretation services and the data has …
