  • A network modelling approach for assessing the efficiency of prevention strategies

Mirjam Kretzschmar, Johannes C Jager et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Mathematical Sociology•1995•Cited by: 2•References: 2

Survey data and a simulation model based on a stochastic pair formation process are used to construct networks of sexual contacts. We model heterosexual partnerships which can be steady or casual depending on their average duration. Transmission of an infectious disease can take place in pairs of a susceptible and an infected individual. We study networks of sexual contacts accumulated during 1 year for different types of mixing patterns. The net…

A six-week, highly structured program is presented to five men in a non-residential setting. I…

A X Van Naerssen, Mart Van Dijk et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Homosexuality•1987•Cited by: 3

A picture of SM interactions as depicted by pornographical issues of SM between 1974 and 1983 is presented by means of a correlational study of pornography. Actual SM scenarios are then compared with the depiction in magazines. The changes that have occurred over more than a decade reflected changes in the nature of violence and sexuality
