    This study investigated locus of control (LC) and hopelessness (H) among 25 pairs of bereaved parents, who lost their children in the Arab-Israeli conflict, and 25 pairs of demographically matched non-bereaved parents (mean age 53).     The present study quantitatively examined the ethnographic social‐psychological profile suggested by A. M. Klein (1993) for American bodybuilders using Israeli bodybuilders.     Altemeyer's (1988) Right-Wing Authoritarianism Scale (RWA) was translated into Hebrew and Arabic and tested for reliability and validity.
