In China, the trend of ‘incense-burning and Buddha-worshipping’ is increasingly popular among Generation Z. To gain a deeper understanding of this emerging phenomenon, this study employs a mixed-methods design to explore the religious tourism experiences of Generation Z (RTEGZ) and their impact on behavioural intentions (BI). First, we conducted hierarchical coding of interview data and user-generated content (UGC) from Weibo, identifying five di…

  • Unpacking the impact of entrepreneurial learning on business model innovation in internet startups

Open Access•Guopeng Xiang, Mu Peng et al.•ARTICLE•Technology in Society•2024•References: 101

While researchers recognize the central role of business model innovation (BMI) in the success of digital startups, empirical research systematically exploring the pathways of BMI in the digital era for such startups remains scarce. We collected questionnaires fro…

  • Ambidextrous Learning, Resource Acquisition, and Venture Performance

    Open Access•Guopeng Xiang, Mu Peng et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2024•References: 98

The entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE) has always been a current research hotspot. However, there is currently limited empirical research at the micro-level of EE. Based on organizational learning theory, this study constructs a model integrating the ambidextrous learning, resource acquisition, venture performance, and EE network relationships of new ventures under EE. Based on survey data of 193 new ventures in EE in Hangzhou, China, our results ill…

  • Bacterial Community Diversity of Oil-Contaminated Soils Assessed by High Throughput Sequencing of 16S rRNA Genes

Open Access•Mu Peng, Mugen Peng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

Soil bacteria play a major role in ecological and biodegradable function processes in oil-contaminated soils. Here, we assessed the bacterial diversity and changes therein in oil-contaminated soils exposed to different periods of oil pollution using 454 pyrosequencing of 16S rRNA genes. No less than 24,953 valid reads and 6246 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) were obtained from all five studied samples. OTU richness was relatively higher in con…
