God, Guns, and Guts: Christian Nationalism from a Psychoanalytic Perspective
This article explores the motivations behind adherents to Christian nationalism using several inter-related psychoanalytic theoretical lenses. Freud's Moses, Schoenberg's Moses, and the Tragic Quest for Purity
In this essay, I review some general known parallels between Freud and Schoenberg, and what threads of influence can be discovered. I will briefly describe each of the two Moses works, followed by a summary of previous scholarly comparisons.
