  • An experience- and preference-based EQ-5D-3L value set derived using 18 months of longitudinal data in patients who sustained a fracture

Open Access•Axel Svedbom, Fredrik Borgstöm et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2022

We present an experience- and preference-based value set with high face validity. The study indicates that response shift may be important to account for when deriving value sets. Furthermore, the study suggests that perspective (experienced versus hypothetical) is more important than country setting or demographics for valuation of EQ-5D-3L health states

  • Quality of life after hip, vertebral, and distal forearm fragility fractures measured using the EQ-5D-3L, EQ-VAS, and time-trade-off

Open Access•Axel Svedbom, Fredrik Borgström et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2017

  • Transparency or Proper Study Valuation Procedures Missed

    Open Access•Giampiero Favato, Gianluca Baio et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•2013•References: 3

To the Editor: We wish to thank the Editor for giving us the opportunity to think about and resolve a few potential issues with our paper. Garattini and colleagues have questioned the meaningfulness of the evidence used to inform some of the crucial parameter used in our model. This is because of a misalignment in the reference list, as a result of which, Table 1 in the paper points to the wrong references. We have fixed this and present the corr…

  • Novel Health Economic Evaluation of a Vaccination Strategy to Prevent HPV-related Diseases

Giampiero Favato, Gianluca Baio et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•2012•References: 29

BACKGROUND: The development of human papillomavirus (HPV)-related diseases is not understood perfectly and uncertainties associated with commonly utilized probabilistic models must be considered. The study assessed the cost-effectiveness of a quadrivalent-based multicohort HPV vaccination strategy within a Bayesian framework. METHODS: A full Bayesian multicohort Markov model was used, in which all unknown quantities were associated with suitable …

    Open Access•Hans-Ulrich Wittchen, H U Wittchen et al.•ARTICLE•European Neuropsychopharmacology•2011

Open Access•Mathias Lidgren, Nils Wilking et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2007

  • Economic evaluation of medical technologies in Sweden

    Open Access•Berth Jönsson, Bengt Jönsson•ARTICLE•Social Science & Medicine•1997•References: 4

  • Impact of Inhaled Corticosteroids on Acute Asthma Hospitalization in Sweden

    Ulf-Göran Gerdtham, Ulf-G Gerdtham et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•1996•References: 17

OBJECTIVES: In clinical studies, it has been found that treating asthmatic patients with inhaled corticosteroids can reduce the need for in-patient care. The purpose of this study was to determine if such a relationship could be observed in available health-care statistics in Sweden and, if such a relationship could be established, what health economic consequences it implied. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted using regional data on ac…
