Task-Designated Identities in Danish Homeless Shelters
This paper is based on an ethnographic study of how domesticity is enacted and adapted at homeless shelters for determining which clients are 'service worthy .' The study draws on nineteen placement meetings with homeless men and focuses on institutional mechanisms for encouraging homemaking skills or domesticity among clients. Adapting Robert K. This article examines attitudes toward diversity at an academic institution. Research participants indicated their support for various forms of diversity in response to closed-ended questions and then described what the word 'diversity' meant to them. The influence of the literary discourse of romanticism on the textual construction of social problems is examined using secondary content analysis of classical and contemporary ethnographies.
