  • The Time-Spaces of Capitalism

    Open Access•Laurent Baronian•ARTICLE•Journal of the History of…•2021

The paper is dedicated to Suzanne de Brunhoff’s monetary thought and shows how her analysis of very concrete monetary and financial problems of her time led her to develop the most innovative contributions to Marxist theory of money since classical Marxism. Concepts such as non-contemporaneity of capitalism with itself, pseudo-social validation, conflict centralization, or State management of money and labor power reflect her profound analysis of…

  • Two problems in Armenian phonology

    Open Access•Laurent Baronian•ARTICLE•Language and Linguistics Compass•2017•Cited by: 4•References: 9

The author surveys 2 major phenomena in Armenian phonology. The first is schwa epenthesis in Western Armenian, which is known to break up the impressive consonant clusters of the language. Before looking at the synchronically epenthetic schwas in Western Armenian, it is important to first distinguish schwas that are unambiguously part of lexical representations then to recognize schwas that have led, over time, to different allomorphs. A fourth c…

  • Monnaie du commun et revenu social garanti

    Open Access•Laurent Baronian, Carlo Vercellone•ARTICLE•Terrains/Théories•2015•Cited by: 1•References: 3

This paper aims at preparing the grounds for the money of the common problematics through questions crowded out by mainstream theory of the commons. Our analysis of the relation between money and theory of the common is divided into three parts : in the first part, we make a critique of the theory of the commons in which money and labour are strangely absent. On this basis, we will characterize an approach of the Common in the singular, in which …

  • Marx and Living Labour

    Laurent Baronian•BOOK•Marx and Living Labour•2013

From his early economic works on, Marx conceived the labour of any kind of society as a set of production activities and analysed the historical modes of production as specific ways of distributing and exchanging these activities. Political economy on the contrary considers the labour only under the form of its product, and the exchange of products as commodities as the unique form of social labour exchange. For Marx, insofar as the labour creati…

  • Ben Fine et Alfred Saad-Filho, The Elgar Companion to Marxist Economics

    Open Access•Laurent Baronian•ARTICLE•OEconomia•2013
