A child, twelve goats, three sheep, a cow, and a horse
The discovery of a child burial in Brno-Slatina containing both complete and disarticulated animal remains represents a unique funerary practice with no direct analogies. The main subject of the article is evidence of settlement and burial activities from the beginning of the Early Eneolithic from Dambořice belonging to the Funnel Beaker culture. From the perspective of the current chronology, this is the early phase of the Baalberg stage of the Moravian – Lower Austrian group of this particular culture. The article addresses the chronology of Eneolithic inhumation burials in Moravia based on radiocarbon dating. A total of 17 individuals were dated using 20 radiocarbon dates, primarily individuals without grave goods or individuals from problematic contexts. Development-led excavation in Rousínov in 2017 uncovered a La Tène cemetery in which 30 graves were excavated. Out of these, two exceptional graves, a rich female inhumation and a warrior’s cremation grave, are discussed in detail in this paper. Pohřebiště v Podolí u Brna a fenomén žárových hrobů mladší doby bronzové s rozměrnými jámami na Moravě
Díky stálé terénní aktivitě se v posledních dvou desetiletích podařilo na Moravě opakovaně zachytit žárové pohřby mladší doby bronzové, které spojuje řada shodných znaků v čele se specifickou úpravou hrobové jámy – dosahuje tvaru a rozměrů obvyklých pro kostrové pohřby. Ukázkovým příkladem je trojice hrobů odkrytá v roce 2011 na katastru obce Podolí u Brna, na níž lze dobře demonstrovat specifické rysy pohřebního ritu, které se k tomuto typu pohř…
