Exposure to prolonged political violence, self-efficacy, and posttraumatic stress symptoms among Palestinian adults
The results provide evidence that for adults exposed to political violence low self-efficacy is linked to poor mental health outcomes. Therefore, enhancing self-efficacy among adults in conflict-affected zones may be a beneficial internal resource for coping with traumatic stress following EPV. Individual measurement of exposure to everyday violence among elementary schoolchildren across various settings
One hundred and thirty-four second- and fourth-grade students from two schools in Israel were measured individually using a Hebrew adaptation of the Violence Exposure Scale—Revised (VEX-R), a self-report scale measuring children's exposure to everyday violence.
