The emotional maturity of juvenile delinquents
Using norms for non-delinquents as a basis for comparison, juvenile delinquents, age for age, are emotionally retarded as measured both by total scores on the interest-attitude tests and by scores on separate tests. The extent of emotional retardation varies somewhat with life age. An insignificant relationship is found to exist between emotional age and degree of delinquent behavior. The study is largely exploratory and conclusions were made with this in mind.
