The article posits that the concept of technology policy maneuver helps to understand the different ways in which peripheral states may respond to the inducements and pressures of hegemonic powers to pursue a particular technology policy choice. This article studies how Argentine national media outlets reported on China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) between 2013 and February 2022 (this covers the period from the launch of the BRI to Argentina’s official accession to the initiative).
