Reconstructing the Taíno Past: Music, Indigeneity, and Colonialism in Puerto Rico
This article discusses the significant role that music has played in (re)constructing the Taíno trope in Puerto Rico's collective imaginary. The Taíno were the native people whom Columbus first encountered on his voyages to the New World.
