  • Divorce and Remarriage among Canadian Jews

    Based on unpublished tabulations from Statistics Canada, this Research Note presents and discusses data on remarriage among Jews in 1971, 1976 and 1977. Crude estimates on the number of divorces among Jewish couples are then made, based on the concurrent rise of divorces and postdivorce remarriages for Canada as a whole, in the same years. It is concluded that there must now be over 1,000 Jewish couples divorcing in Canada every year
