  • La voie de l'Itinéraire d’Antonin d’Aginnum (Agen) à Lugdunum (Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges)

Fabien Colleoni, Catherine Petit-Aupert•ARTICLE•Aquitania une revue inter-régionale…•2021

Although some parts of Gaul have given rise to research programmes leading to the reconstruction of an extremely tight-knit Roman road network, it has to be acknowledged that this was not true of the cities of central Gascony in Antiquity. Even if many notable routes have been proposed in earlier works, only the major roads connecting the main cities of the civitates are concerned here, which are the only ones documented, even partially, by the i…

The data from aerial photographs and the results of recent excavations yield a global view of the orthogonal street network of ancient Elusa. It consists of small blocks of houses variable in size among which the oblong form prevails. Certain insulae similarly reveal their internal organisation. We can thus supply fresh information on a shrine of local type, on a few domus with peristyles and on presumably commercial areas. A large building remai…

    Open Access•Sabine Fourrier, Catherine Petit-Aupert•ARTICLE•Cahiers du Centre d Etudes…•2007

A sanctuary site, identified during survey work in the Amathous area, proves to be the place where terracottas of Phoenician type were illegally dug in 1982. The coroplastic assemblage collected there is very homogeneous and only finds parallels in other extra-urban sanctuaries of the Amathous kingdom (Limassol -Komissariato and Agia Phyla-Kountouros). The style of the terracottas is very close to Western Phoenician examples and may point to the …
