    This research aims to explore the regulation of entry requirements in all the immigration laws of Chile (1918, 1959, 1975) and in their reform projects (1993, 2013, 2017 and 2019). The analysis shows a continuity in how this institution has been conceived over time, in particular in regard to its security dimension.
