  • Introduksjon

  • Kollektivt entreprenørskap i Altiplano i Peru

  • Tax Compliance Dancing

    Open Access•L B Larsen, Benedicte Brøgger•ARTICLE•Journal of Legal Anthropology•2021

Taxation is central to the financing of most states, and monitoring that taxpayers comply with laws and regulations is a correspondingly important government activity. Governments have many ways to design tax systems, and no two national tax systems are the same. Hence, compliance strategies differ and so do outcomes. Complying with tax laws, beyond the fiscal aim of contributing revenue to a state, is multifaceted in a globalized world. Tax admi…

  • The Rise and Demise of a Supply Chain

    Open Access•Benedicte Brøgger•ARTICLE•Journal of Business Anthropology•2013•Cited by: 1

This article investigates the global 'retail revolution' through the path chosen by key people in the Norwegian trade network called Technical Supplies Partner (TSP). The story is told from the perspective of a single entrepreneur working closely together with an A-team of fiercely independent shop-owners who helped transform TSP from a voluntary association into a market-leading Scandinavian retail chain. The trade network then became a global s…

  • An action research approach to the inclusion of immigrants in work life and local community life

    Open Access•Anlı Ataöv, Anli Ataöv et al.•ARTICLE•Action Research•2010•Cited by: 3•References: 8

Recent increases in the immigrant population in Norway have raised the issue of immigrant inclusion in the Norwegian society. The political emphasis has been on welfare, education and health for many decades. However, today the increasing shortage of labor in the market has raised the issue of inclusion of the immigrant population in work life. This article documents a 3-year-long action research process that laid the groundwork for collaboration…

  • Economic anthropology, trade and innovation

    Open Access•Benedicte Brøgger•ARTICLE•Social Anthropology•2009

The problem addressed in the paper is that professional trade does not appear on the horizon of the national innovation system in Norway. Everyday trade in everyday goods, retailing, appears as a white spot on an otherwise fairly comprehensive map of the economic process. An ethnographic account would render a view of it as a terrain teeming with life and activity and depending on innovations to play the role it does in the national economy. In l…
