The Spatial Structure of Information Networks and Innovative Behaviour in the Ziz Valley, Southern Morocco
Current spatial diffusion theory is reviewed, and some research lacunae identified. Spatial implications of variations in production opportunities on the farm, of ‘sociological’ variables relating to resistance to innovation, as well as a more sophisticated formulation of the contact-to-innovation process need to be considered. Research and evaluation on any programme of the size and complexity of India's family planning programme provide essential feedback of information for policy-makers.
