    This article investigates the esoteric beliefs of the Order of Nine Angles (ONA) as one way of making sense of its politics. This article investigates how energy is understood by spirit mediums and the practices by which energy comes to be experienced and accepted as real.     This article discusses male experiences of hegemonic masculinity and abuse within two small, anonymized new religious movements, drawing on primary source material from the educational charity Inform.     In Britain, yoga became an increasingly popular group activity from the 1960s onwards in government-subsidised adult-education evening classes. Although yoga classes were open to everyone, women tended to make up 70 ro 90 per cent of the student base of most classes as well as the majority of yoga teachers.
