    The autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine had four significant consequences outside of Ukraine. First, it affected the relations between various Orthodox churches, with some recognizing the autocephaly, others conditioning their recognition on various guarantees, and others interrupting eucharistic communion.
