  • Description de la langue de la médecine

Open Access•Gaston Gro, Gaston Gross et al.•ARTICLE•Meta Journal des traducteurs•2002

Le traitement automatique des langues de spécialité exige une description qui rende compte de son fonctionnement. Le travail descriptif s'appuie sur la notion de phrase et l'établissement de la liste de tous les prédicats, ainsi que sur la détermination des arguments pour situer les emplois. L'article présente les diverses étapes de description illustrées par de nombreux exemples

  • Introduction aux classes d'objets

Denis Le Pesant, Michel Mathieu-Colas•ARTICLE•Langages•1998•Cited by: 13•References: 5

The authors address the general question of object classes. They present the theoretical bases , stressing the role of "appropriate predicates" , and describe the method to construct classes, including predicate classes. This approach throws new light polysemy. Several applications of object classes to linguistic analysis and processing are suggested and the article ends on associated semantic considerations

  • Illustration d'une classe d'objets: Les Voies De Communication

    Michel Mathieu-Colas•ARTICLE•Langages•1998•Cited by: 4

The principle of object classes is illustrated by roads, paths, etc. These are divided up into several files: list of arguments (those units which may be used to designate roads, paths, etc.); description of appropriate predicates (verbs, adjectives and predicate nouns); record of other cooccurrents; list of frozen expressions. Identifying all the elements which make up a class is essential for language processing

  • Variations Graphiques des Mots Composés Dans le Petit Larousse et le Petit Robert

    Michel Mathieu-Colas•ARTICLE•Lingvisticae investigationes.…•1988

Orthographic variations of compound words in le Petit Larousse and le Petit Robert. The analysis of the two most common French dictionaries — le Petit Larousse and le Petit Robert — brings into relief the orthographic instability of compound words. This study notes many disagreements between the two works, as well as a number of internal contradictions. Hesitation concerns mainly the use of the hyphen (audio-visuel or audiovisuel, fille-mère or f…
