HWQY c and Covenantal Institutions in Early Israel
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the usage of hwqy c in classical Hebrew with a view to proposing that hwqy c is a specialized usage in the context of covenant institutions. We shall first investigate the occurrences of hwqy c in biblical Hebrew, then discuss its etymology, and finally analyze pertinent covenantal institutions that may shed some light on the subject of this investigation
