  • Handbook of Complementary Methods in Education Research

Audra Skukauskaite, Judith Green et al.•BOOK•Handbook of Complementary Methods…•2012

  • Meta-Analysis of the Effects of Early Education Interventions on Cognitive and Social Development

Open Access•Gregory Camilli, Sadako Vargas et al.•ARTICLE•Teachers College Record The Voice…•2010

  • Illustration of a Multilevel Model for Meta-Analysis

Jimmy de la Torre, Gregory Camilli et al.•ARTICLE•Measurement and Evaluation in…•2007•References: 1

Clustering effect and non-zero intraclass correlation produce the variability that can be observed in meta-analytic data. Statistical modeling is shown to provide a flexible approach to capturing and describing this empirical variability. The most common multilevel approach to analyzing data from meta-analysis is illustrated in this article with a set of 177 studies of behavioral therapies. • An Exploratory Study of Counselor Judgments in Multicultural Research

    Open Access•Saundra Tomlinson‐clarke, Gregory Camilli•ARTICLE•Journal of Multicultural…•1995•Cited by: 2•References: 28

Archival data were used to explore intake judgments made by 45 counselors about 344 African-American and White clients seen at a counseling center during a 2-year period. Counselor gender was significantly associated with ratings of client severity of current condition. Neither ethnicity nor counselor experience were predictive of intake judgments

  • The test of homogeneity for 2 × 2 contingency tables

  • The test of homogeneity for 2 × 2 contingency tables

    Gregory Camilli•ARTICLE•Psychological Bulletin•1990

  • Policy Strategies, Teacher Salary Incentive, and Student Achievement

    Richard Turner, Richard L Turner et al.•ARTICLE•Educational Researcher•1986•Cited by: 6•References: 4

As economies of scale increase, school districts, by means of policy strategy, trade class size against salary incentive for teachers. This idea is developed and related to district-level achievement through an explanatory, structural equation model. The model is tested on data on student achievement in 102 Colorado school districts. The results show that the model is moderately successful for explaining reading achievement in grades 5, 6, 11, an…

  • A Computer Program to Aid the Detection of Biased Test Items

    Open Access•Gregory Camilli, Lorrie A Shepard•ARTICLE•Educational and Psychological…•1985

This program was written to identify items on ability tests that favor one particular group of examinees in relation to another. That is, controlling for group differences in ability, do some items have a greater likelihood of being correctly answered in one of two groups

  • Testing for association in 2???2 contingency tables with very small sample sizes

  • Testing for association in 2 × 2 contingency tables with very small sample sizes

    Gregory Camilli, Kenneth D Hopkins•ARTICLE•Psychological Bulletin•1979•Cited by: 1

  • Applicability of chi-square to 2???2 contingency tables with small expected cell frequencies

    Gregory Camilli, Kenneth D Hopkins•ARTICLE•Psychological Bulletin•1978

  • Applicability of chi-square to 2 × 2 contingency tables with small expected cell frequencies

    Gregory Camilli, Kenneth D Hopkins•ARTICLE•Psychological Bulletin•1978•Cited by: 8

Standard statistics textbooks recommend the use of chi-square with 2X2 contingency tables only when the expected frequency of each cell is at least five. The Yates correction for continuity is also recommended to increase the accuracy of the resulting probability statement. The empirical consequences of these recommendations were explored on a wide variety of 2 X 2 contingency tables. Pearson's chi-square test was found to be very robust with sma…
