Faire une offrande à une divinité était une démarche très répandue de la pratique religieuse des Grecs. Le geste était donc banal et la nature du don extrêmement variable, pouvant aller d’une modeste terre cuite à une somptueuse intervention architecturale dans le sanctuaire du dieu ou de la déesse. Apollo and the Archaic Temple at Corinth
After a detailed examination of the literary, epigraphic, and archaeological evidence, the authors argue that the prominent Archaic Doric temple at Corinth was dedicated to Apollo. It is this temple with its bronze statue that Pausanias (2.3.6) saw on his right as he left the area of the forum, taking the road to Sikyon. Στό οἰκοδόμημα πού κλείνει δυτικά τήν ταράτσα τοῦ ἱεροῦ τῆς Μαρμαριᾶς δόθηκαν πολλές ἑρμηνεῖες : οἶκος ἱερέων, ἐργοτάξιο τῆς θόλου, ναός μέ διπλό σηκό.
