Notes on a Boar Hunt (Pfs 2323)
The seal applied to tablet NN 2458 from the Persepolis Fortification archive, PFS 2323, is a large seal that bears a striking image of a boar hunt, remarkable both for its design and exceptional execution. This article briefly examines the specifics of the scene on PFS 2323 and reviews the glyptic evidence for boar hunts in the Achaemenid period
