  • Deconstruction reassigned? ‘The child’, antipsychology and the fate of the empirical

    Open Access•Benjamin S Bradley, Benjamin Bradley•ARTICLE•Feminism & Psychology•2014•References: 8

  • Commentary: The Vygotskian Family in the Supreme Court of Practice

    Open Access•Benjamin S Bradley, Benjamin Bradley•ARTICLE•Culture & Psychology•2008•Cited by: 1•References: 8

Analysing the aporias of Matusov's text, I argue that what unites these two groups of Vygotsky's heirs is a common…

  • Women's first experiences of childbirth: Two hospital settings compared

Open Access•Benjamin S Bradley, Benjamin Bradley et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Medical…•1990

This study analyses expectations, experiences and the aftermath of childbirth from interviews conducted with 60 mothers nine months after their first child was born. Half had given birth in a 'family birthing centre' (FBC) and half had used the conventional delivery suite (CDS). Findings showed that the two groups of women had different antenatal orientations to the birth, different experiences of the labour, different experiences of motherhood a…
