O artigo versa sobre reflexões dos Ye'kwana do rio Auaris acerca das experiências oníricas e os seus efeitos na vigília. O sonho é um afastamento temporário do duplo em relação à pessoa (corpo) e, nesse sentido, é expressão dos caminhos e descaminhos do duplo em outros mundos.
