  • The relationship between neonatal developmental status and post-natal nutritional status in Hungarian children

Open Access•Kálmán Joubert, Dénes Molnár et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2013

Neonatal development influenced strongly the post-natal nutritional status of children. The results indicate that not only age at adiposity rebound but also neonatal developmental status can be used as an indicator of later obesity

  • Anthropological examination of the chronologically separated groups of the 11th-13th century Zalavár-Chapel (Zalavár-Kápolna) cemetery from Hungary

Katalin Wolff, Sandor Evinger et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologischer Anzeiger•2012

The Zalavár-Chapel (Hungarian: Zalavár-Kápolna) cemetery was found near the village Zalavár, located in the western part of the Lake Balaton, in the area of the Little-Balaton (in Hungarian: Kis-Balaton) in Hungary. During this period, significant changes occurred in the burial customs, thus the graves can be divided into four groups (hor…

    Open Access•Gyula Gyenis, Kálmán Joubert•ARTICLE•Economics & Human Biology•2004

  • Prenatal effects of intra-uterine growth retardation on adult height of conscripts from Hungary

    Open Access•K Joubert, Gyula Gyenis•ARTICLE•HOMO•2003

  • Anthropometric craniofacial pattern profiles in microcephaly

    Open Access•Ghada M H Abdel-Salam, Ghada M H Abdel‐Salam et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•2002•References: 15

Craniofacial measurements were taken in 60 cases presenting with microcephaly. The cases were classified etiologically and morphologically and the latter was further subclassified. Craniofacial pattern profiles, cranial capacity, and the pattern variability index were calculated and compared with normal Hungarian controls of the same age and sex. In addition, correlation analysis between cranial capacity and IQ was done. Our results show signific…

  • Rapid change of head and face measurements in university students in Hungary

    Gyula Gyenis•ARTICLE•Anthropologischer Anzeiger•1994•Cited by: 5

Head length, head breadth, bizygomatic diameter and morphological facial height were measured and cephalic and morphological facial indices were calculated in a sample (n = 8280) of first year students of the Technical University Budapest investigated between 1976-1985. The head length and the morphological facial height increased, while the head breadth and bizygomatic diameter decreased in the classes of the students during the investigated suc…

  • Dermatoglyphics of three Hungarian populations

    Open Access•Gyula Gyenis•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•1975•Cited by: 1•References: 1

The dermatoglyphics of 709 individuals from three Hungarian populations living near each other but of different origin were analyzed. In dermatoglyphic traits the three populations present but slight differences from one another
