Sociology Designing the Future of Community
본 논문은 오늘의 한국 사회학이 처한 상황을 진단하며 사회학의 정체성 확장을 위한 방안을 제안한다. 이는 사회학의 영역이 축소되고 있음에 대한 우려를 바탕으로 사회학의 새로운 출구와 활로를 모색하기 위한 작업이다. 오늘의 사회학이 안고 있는 과제로 해법 제시의 취약, 사회와의 대화 결여, 새로운 데이터에 대한 감수성 부족, 과거와 다른 사회학의 위상을 지적한다. 공동체의 미래를 디자인하는 것에서 사회학의 과제를 풀어보려 한다. 오늘의 한국 사회가 직면하고 있는 지속가능사회로서의 변곡점을 인구, 성장, 신뢰, 정치, 통합의 5가지 지점에서 논의하며 미래에 대한 진단에 사회학이 적극적으로 나설 것을 주문한다. 미래를 디자인하는 새로운 정체성의 모색을 위해 연구의 목적을 예측, 처방, 예방(3P)에 두어야 할 것을 주장한다. 아울러 이를 위한 분석도구와 방법론에 대한 재검토는 물론이고, 21세기 디지…
