HIV Testing Pre- and Post-Covid-19 Pandemic Among Persons who Inject Drugs – National HIV Behavioral Surveillance, 19 Cities, 2018 and 2022

Methods: Data were collected from participants (N = 455; mean age 35 years) in a four-arm randomized contr…
Depression and coping strategies among Vietnamese women living with HIV
Women living with HIV (WLWH) are more likely to suffer from depression than seronegative women and are also more likely to suffer from depression than men living with HIV. There is limited depression research with WLWH in Vietnam. Twenty in-depth interviews with WLWH were conducted to identify pathways leading to depression and coping strategies for depression. Participants were recruited from an antiretroviral treatment clinic in northern Vietna…

Experiences of gender-based violence among female sex workers, men who have sex with men, and transgender women in Latin America and the Caribbean
BACKGROUND: Female sex workers, MSM, and transgender women-collectively referred to as key populations (KPs)-are disproportionately affected by gender-based violence (GBV) and HIV, yet little is known about the violence they face, its gender-based origins, and responses to GBV. The purpose of this study was to understand the nature and consequences of GBV experienced, to inform HIV policies and programming and to help protect KPs' human rights. M…

Measurement of Social Norms Affecting Modern Contraceptive Use
As a critical building block to developing social norms interventions to support healthy family planning and other reproductive health behaviors, we conducted a literature review to identify and evaluate social norm measures related to modern contraceptive use. Of 174 articles reviewed in full, only 17 studies met our criteria for inclusion. Across these articles, no single measure of norms was used in more than one study; failure to specify the …
