Brief Counseling With Hispanic American College Students
Sixteen Hispanic American college students met with a Puerto Rican counselor for 2 brief counseling sessions. Brief counseling was a viable and effective approach in helping the students reach their goals. Types of student concerns about and student perceptions of brief counseling were also examined
Multicultural Education for Counseling: A Reply to Lloyd
In this article the authors respond to three important issues raised by Arthur Lloyd in his lead article on multicultural counseling in the March 1987 issue of Counselor Education and Supervision. We examine these issues from various perspectives. Suggestions are offered for resolving these issues

Counselor Dress Cues: Evaluations by American Indians and Caucasians
American Indian and Caucasian high school students were compared as they assessed counselors' empathy, warmth, genuineness, and concreteness as conveyed through six pairs of male and female counselor dress. The students from the two cultures differed in their perceptions of each of the counseling conditions based on the counselors' attire. Concerns of Beginning Counselor Trainees
The concerns of beginning counselor trainees were factor analyzed. The analysis yielded five distinct variables about which trainees expressed concerns: whether clients liked the counselor, counselor adequacy, counselor role, counseling techniques, and client needs.
