A history of nineteenth-century gymnastics, a minor pastime compared to rugby and cricket, in South Africa at a time when it consisted of two colonies and two independent Boer republics is presented in this article. This article endeavours to address this situation by presenting a boxing narrative from 1932 to 1935.
