Correlation Matrix and Linear Regression of Anthropometric Characters Among The Sugalis - A Tribal Population of Cuddapah District, Andhra Pradesh
With a view to know the average relationship of 14 anthropometric measurements, taken on the 1565 Sugali children (854 boys and 711 girls) of both sexes aged I to 20 years simple correlation co-efficients between pairs of variables and against age a straight line is fitted for the data. Among boys the relationship between all measurements is strong except for skinfold measurements. No negative correlation is noticed between anthropometric measure…
Growth pattern of the Sugalis - a tribal population of Andhra Pradesh, India
With a view to assess physical growth, a cross-sectional study was made on 1565 Sugali children (854 boys and 711 girls), aged 1 to 20 years. Anthropometric measurements included height, weight, upper arm circumference, biacromial diameter, biiliocristal diameter, chest circumference, head circumference and skinfold measurements at triceps, subscapular, suprailiac and medial calf. Red-Green Colour Blindness Among the Sugalis-A Tribal Population of Cuddaph District, Andhra Pradesh
The distribution of red-green colour blindness has been studied in the Sugali tribe of Cuddapah district of Andhra Pradesh. The results were compared with neighbouring caste and tribal populations of the state
Distribution of ABO and Rh (D) Blood Groups Among The Sugalis - A Tribal Population of Andhra Pradesh
The present study was earned cot to investigate the distribution pattern of the ABO and Rh(D) blood groups in the Sugali tribe of Andhra Pradesh. The frequency of allele O was recorded maximum (0.602). followed by that of B (0.229) and A (0.169) alleles. The incidence of Rh(D)-ve phenotype was found to be 9.6%. The results have been compared with neighbouring caste and tribal populations of the state
