    In this paper I report on a pedagogical technique, the anonymous sexuality essay, which has been used and tested for eight semesters in an undergraduate sociology of sexuality course as a device to bridge some of the conflicts between the traditional structure of the classroom and the somewhat unusual demands involved in teaching sexuality.
