Objective: To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Gregor Johann Mendel (July 20, 1822 – January 6, 1884), anthropogenetic research was conducted in 2022 on the skeletal remains of the founder of genetics and abbot of the Augustinian Monastery in Brno. The study summarises the basic findings regarding non-masonry buildings in medieval Brno and the prospects for further knowledge. A modern methodological approach in the form of micromorphology in an archaeological context, particularly regarding the interiors of these buildings, was used to add more information.
