  • Characterization of 843 children with Zika-related microcephaly in the first three years of life

Open Access•Demócrito De Barros Miranda Filho, Ricardo Arraes De Alencar Ximenes et al.•ARTICLE•PLOS Global Public Health•2025

One of the main gaps in characterizing the congenital Zika syndrome (CZS) up to now is the small number of participants in individual studies. This study aims to describe adverse anthropometric, clinical, and neuroimaging outc…

This study evaluated the performance, usefulness, and operational suitability of the Digene Hybrid Capture II (HCII) CT-ID DNA-test as an opportunistic screening tool to detect C. trachomatis in the public health system in Manaus, Amazonas State. Women aged 14-25 years who attended primary health care services were interviewed and one cervical spec…

  • Malária durante a gravidez

Open Access•Eda Cristina da Silva Chagas, Cristiana Teixeira do Nascimento et al.•ARTICLE•Revista Panamericana de Salud…•2009

Changes in the course of pregnancy were very frequent during acute malaria attacks, despite the low frequency of abortion.
