  • Variability of Human Body Heat Conductivity in Population I. Methodological and Theoretical Approaches

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov, A K Kazakova et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Ecology•2010•Cited by: 1•References: 5

An attempt has been made to estimate human body heat conductivity (BHC) in population. Calorimetric method of measuring heat conductivity in solids known in thermo physics has been modified for this purpose. Results obtained show that individuals in population substantially differ from each other in BHC. It is assumed that cell thermoregulation which is determined by density of peripheral layer of condensed chromatin (CC) around cell nucleus unde…

  • Variability of Human Body Heat Conductivity in Population II. Diseases of Civilization

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov, A K Kazakova et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Ecology•2010•References: 1

The purpose of the present research was to find out if wide variability of human body heat conductivity (BHC) in population influences the development of the so called “diseases of civilization”. Peculiarities of individual’s BHC suffering from alimentary form of obesity, alcoholism, drug addiction as well as healthy individuals were studied with the method of calorimetry. It was established that patients differ with significantly low BHC as oppo…

  • Darwin’s Gemmules and Development

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov•ARTICLE•The Anthropologist•2009

Nowadays, Darwin’s pangenesis hypothesis and his gemmule idea are considered to have been completely denied. However, the pangenesis hypothesis constituted, whereof we now often forget, an integral and essential part of Darwinism. There offered a hypothesis that probably to the certain period of embryonic development yet unidentified substances of specialized cells, tissues and organs of foetus, but not those of maternal organism, are cumulated i…

  • On the Pathogenesis of Atherosclerosis

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Ecology•2008•References: 1

The natural history of atherosclerosis is considered at present to be a strictly biological process. We call into question the existing views asserting that: (a) the blood temperature in the left heart and the right heart should always be equal although no one and nowhere has specially checked such a possibility; (b) a high content of atherogenous substances in plasma is a sufficient and necessary condition for development of common forms of athe…

  • The Evolution of Body Heat Conductivity, Skin and Brain Size in Human

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Ecology•2007•References: 2

What is unusual about the human brain is that we are the only largish mammal whose brain size kept pace with our growth in body size. The plausible reason of this phenomenon is his skin, when after having lost its hair it became the largest and almost universal organ of sense, which begins functioning as early as in the prenatal period of human development. It is assumed that H. sapiens became the possessor of the largest brain among the primates…

  • Condensed Chromatin, Cell Thermoregulation and Human Body Heat Conductivity

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov, K Tabaldiev et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Ecology•2007

Earlier we put out a proposal on possible participation of condensed chromatin (CC) in cell thermoregulation; CC being the densest domain in a cell, apparently conducts heat between the cytoplasm and nucleus when there is difference in temperature between them. This hypothesis can be checked at the level of cells or organisms. Experimentally we have managed to establish that at the level of organisms there is a broad intra population variability …

  • The origin of modern humans

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov•ARTICLE•Human Evolution•1993•Cited by: 1•References: 2

  • Brief communication

    Open Access•A I Ibraimov•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•1991•References: 14

Cerumen polymorphism was studied in several populations of Eurasia and Africa. The frequencies of dry cerumen were shown to be high in Mongoloid populations and low among Europoids. Intermediate frequencies were found among peoples of subequatorial Africa. Special attention is paid to the potential for using this marker in population and anthropological studies
