Tarmiji Masron, Azizul Ahmad et al.•ARTICLE•Arab world geographer•2026

This study investigates armed assaults (Section 324 offences) in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (2015–2020) by integrating police crime records with high-resolution GIS land use data. Using optimized Hot Spot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi*), we identify significant spatio-temporal clusters. • Male Electorate and Electoral Mandates

Mohammad Razi Sitam, Tarmiji Masron et al.•ARTICLE•Arab world geographer•2026

This study examines the role of the male electorate in determining electoral outcomes in Sarawak's state elections from 2006 through 2021. In doing so, it addresses a gap in the literature: previous work has highlighted gender-specific turnout effects (e.g., strong associations between female turnout and victory margins), but the specific influence of the male electorate has not been separately quantified. • A Brief History of Political Ecology and Its New Trend

Open Access•Yusuke Koizumi, Ryoji Soda•ARTICLE•Japanese Journal of Human Geography•2021
