    Open Access•Detlev Lück, Kerstin Ruckdeschel•ARTICLE•European Societies•2018•Cited by: 3•References: 7

The ‘Family Leitbild’ survey, conducted in Germany in 2012 with 5000 participants, provides quantitative data. Qualitative data are taken from the study ‘Family in Pictures’, in which 101 participants each drew a picture of what constitutes a ‘proper’ family in their subjective view, and thereafter were interviewed …

    Kerstin Ruckdeschel•ARTICLE•Journal of Evidence-Informed…•2011•References: 3

    Claudia Diehl, M Koenig et al.•ARTICLE•Ethnic and Racial Studies•2009•Cited by: 125•References: 35

In European public debates, Islam is often described as an impediment to gender equality. By using data from surveys conducted in Germany, we analyse the role of high levels of individual religiosity in explaining Turks'and Germans' approval of gender equality and the way Turkish and German couples share household tasks. Results suggest that, for both groups, individuals with strong religious commitments are less likely than secular individuals t…

Data is based on the German survey "Family-related role models" (2012) and the French survey "Situation de couple, intentions de fécondité et opinions sur l…
