Working in a collaborative way requires time, flexibility and openness from everyone involved. It may feel unstructured or challenging at times, and produce unexpected findings, but this equitable way of working is respectful, develops valuable partnerships and authentic outputs
Impact of a cancer diagnosis on educational, employment, health-related quality of life, and social outcomes among young adults: A matched cohort study of 401 cancer survivors aged 15-24 in England
Despite having initially poorer health and economic outcomes, cancer survivors in this cohort caught up with their peers within 3 years. Linked clinical data showed those with more severe diagnoses were affected most, indicating scope for improved psychosocial and economic support
How does arthritis affect employment? Longitudinal evidence on 18,000 British adults with arthritis compared to matched controls
Policy interventions to support people with arthritis who wish to remain in work might be designed with people in routine work in mind, and targeted at those working in smaller private firms. More research on the cost-effectiveness of those interventions is needed
