  • Influence of the gregarious instinct and individuals' behavior patterns on macro migrations

Stanislaw Raczynski•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Behavior in the…•2018•Cited by: 1•References: 11

The objective of the model is to simulate the migrations of social groups over certain geographical regions, influenced by the gregarious effect and individual behavior patterns. The people move in search of better work opportunities and welfare. The model components are regions and individuals belonging to certain social groups. A region is characterized by more than 30 parameters, such as geographical data, actual population statistics, educati…

  • Melody Harmonization With Interpolated Probabilistic Models

Stanislaw Raczynski, Stanisław A Raczyński et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of New Music Research•2013•Cited by: 2•References: 15

Most melody harmonization systems use the generative hidden Markov model (HMM), which model the relation between the hidden chords and the observed melody. Relations to other variables, such as the tonality or the metric structure, are handled by training multiple HMMs or are ignored. In this paper, we propose a discriminative means of combining multiple probabilistic models of various musical variables by means of model interpolation. We evaluat…
