This paper applies the concept of inequality regime, in the tradition of the Regulation School, to the analysis of the patterns and drivers of socioeconomic inequality in Portugal in the last few decades. This study aimed to evaluate factors associated with use and alcohol abuse among the 1115 individuals from a rural community with coverage of the Family Health Strategy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this survey was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The mean score of consumption, measured by the AUDIT, was 3.8 (range 1–20, SD ±6.08).
