Community resilience factors among indigenous Sámi adolescents
This qualitative study explores community resilience factors within an indigenous Sámi community in Northern Norway. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 22 informants, 12 females and 10 males, ranging in age from 13 to 19 years old, 12 of whom had reindeer husbandry affiliation. Seeking care for epilepsy and its impacts on households in a rural district in southern Malawi
The existing barriers to accessing treatment for epilepsy can be addressed by using a combination of public education, simple treatments and regular reviews. Ensuring constant availability of drugs for the treatment of epilepsy is key to effective treatment of the condition. This would contribute to closing the treatment gap for epilepsy as advocated by the Global Campaign against Epilepsy
Disability and poverty – Reflections on research experiences in Africa and beyond
A longitudinal design including both quantitative and qualitative methods and based on the current conceptual understanding of both disability and poverty is suggested to pursue further knowledge generation on the relationship between disability and poverty

The objective of this study was to explore patterns of alcohol consumption of older persons in Botswana and to identify sociodemographic correlates of hazardous drinking. This report is based on cross-sectional data from a sub-sample of a national representative sample of older persons. Twelve rural areas and three urban centers were visited. This article is concerned with the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren in changing Tswana society. It argues that, in order to understand this relationship and how this has been changing, we have to look at different sets of relationships separately.
