Although psychological warfare was practiced to a greater degree in the Vietnam conflict than in any other war in history, virtually nothing has been published about it. A Cross-Cultural Study of Geocentrism
College students in the United States, Argentina, Fiji, India, and New Zealand were asked to draw a map of the world in 10 minutes, putting in as much detail as possible. Maps were examined for number of countries noted, accuracy in shape and placement of continents and countries, and other details. These experiments were designed to ascertain the relation between extent of change of opinions and the degree of discrepancy. A curvilinear relation was observed in questionnaire data from 107 Ss, i.e., smaller and larger discrepancies had less effect than medium size discrepancies for communications on several different issues and on judgments of autokinetic movement
