Hermeneutic and Teleology in Ethics across Denominations-Thomas Aquinas and Karl Barth
This study arises from the context of current debates in the Catholic Church on the place of rule and law in moral reasoning. I suggest that ethics may be best served by approaches that place the human subject in a teleogical context and that recognise the need for interpretation of circumstances surrounding actions to be evaluated. Sir W. Jones' Revision of the Text of Two Poems of Anacreon
The original of the MS. here reproduced was recently presented to the A Library of the School of Oriental and African Studies by Professor Arberry, with the suggestion that the handwriting might be found to be that of Sir W. Jones. This conjecture, as will be shown below, has proved to be correct

The Song of the Three Mons
This poem embodies two traditions found among the Mon or Talaing people of Burma, (1) that they came from the east coast of India in very early times, and (2) that they consist of three tribes, occupying three several provinces of the Mon country of Burma-Bassein, Pegu, and Martaban

The inscription here reproduced appears on the covering leaf of a gilt palm-leaf manuscript, in. by in., in the possession of the Java Head Bookshop, Great Eussell Street, the proprietors of which have kindly agreed to its publication
