  • Tabucchi in the 1980s

    Luca Pocci•ARTICLE•Italian Studies•2016

The article explores Tabucchi’s narrative fiction in the 1980s, focusing on three major works that he published during that decade; Il gioco del rovescio, Piccoli equivoci senza importanza and Notturno indiano. As it is shown, these works address the flip side, the somewhat repressed aspect or rovescio (to use a Tabucchian term), of the ’80s socio-cultural climate, whose defining trait has been commonly described as an unprecedented mixture of in…

  • Io so

    Luca Pocci•ARTICLE•Modern Language Notes•2011

This article addresses the debate on Gomorra discussing, in particular, the textual hybridity of Saviano's book. Drawing on J. L. Austin's philosophy of language, the author argues that this controversial characteristic is due not so much to the blending of different genres as to the presence of two distinct pragmatic dimensions, a constative and a performative dimension. • La Trilogia Sulla Città Di Giuseppe Culicchia

    Open Access•Luca Pocci•ARTICLE•Forum Italicum A Journal of…•2008•References: 1
