  • Living with mentally ill parents during adolescence: A risk factor for future welfare dependence? A longitudinal, population-based study

Open Access•Lisbeth Homlong, Elin Olaug Rosvold et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2015

Exposure to a parent's mental health problem during adolescence may represent a risk for future welfare dependence in young adulthood. Perceived social support, from family and classmates in particular, may be a protective factor against future long-term welfare dependence

  • Non-western immigrants' satisfaction with the general practitioners' services in Oslo, Norway

Open Access•Else Lien, Per Nafstad et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal for Equity…•2008

Although the degree of satisfaction with the primary health care was relatively high among the participants in these surveys, the non-western immigrants in this study were less satisfied than ethnic Norwegians with their last visit to a general practitioner. The rather low response rates opens for the possibility that the degree of satisfaction may not be representative for all immigrants
