  • Modeling the Macrodynamics of International Migration: Determinants of Emigration from Cyprus, 1946-85

    A model is presented of international migration that is based on the concept of a pool of potential emigrants at the origin created by push - pull forces and by the establishment of information feedback between origin and destination. The forces can be economic, political, or both, and are analytically expressed by the 'mediating factor'.
