El uso de las expresiones referenciales en niños con Síndrome de Asperger: Un estudio de casos basado en los grados de accesibilidad
In this paper it is analysed the use of referring expressions by Spanish-speaking Asperger Syndrome (AS) children in task-oriented narratives using as a framework of analysis the Theory of Accessibility (Ariel 1988, 2001). I examine the role of ECFs in Spanish pre-electoral debates and in English panel interviews. English data is 77 minutes and 58 seconds long and comprises nine different panel interviews of political, socio-political and social issues and Spanish data is 78 minutes long an…

The purpose of this paper is to show the existing relationships between the concept of community and the linguistic forms used to convey or even to manipulate it. First of all, the limits and restrictions of any form of community will be defined. Second, one specific form of community will be selected for analysis. The community chosen will be the Parliamentary community, and the linguistic form singled out for study will be the first person plur…
La expresión del acuerdo y el desacuerdo en el discurso político: Un análisis socio-cognitivo
The purpose of this paper is twofold: on the one hand to show that one specific linguistic form rarely conveys one single function because its interpretation highly depends on its concurring context, Iinguistic as well as social. On the other hand, to demonstrate convincingly that only when we take into consideration both social and cognitive factors we can reach a nonbiased conclusion
